BROWNAVE.COM UPS Freight Teamsters Overwhelming Support REJECTING the Tentative National Master UPS Freight Agreement

UPS Freight Teamsters throughout the country are voicing their concerns and displeasures with the Tentative National Master UPS Freight Agreement released May 7, 2013 by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

BROWNAVE.COM UPS Freight Teamsters disagree with General Secretary-Treasurer / Package Division Director / Co-Chairman of the Teamsters UPS Freight National Negotiating Committee, Ken Hall's claims that this tentative agreement "does exactly what the members asked for."

Subcontracting leverage in Article 44 has not addressed our demands, instead it has been further enhanced with substandard language and compromised with the introduction of a different classification of company employee, compensated well below union scale.

Wage increases are not only inconsistent throughout the tentative agreement, they are substandard in comparison to the increases negotiated for Package.

UPS Freight Local Union Leaders Unanimously Recommend Tentative Agreement For Ratification

(WASHINGTON) – Teamster Local Union leaders representing UPS Freight workers across the country unanimously endorsed the tentative national agreement today, clearing the way for ballots to be prepared and sent to members.

General Secretary-Treasurer Ken Hall, who also serves as Package Division Director and Co-Chairman of the Teamsters UPS Freight National Negotiating Committee with General President Jim Hoffa, presented the changes contained in the tentative agreement to nearly 200 Local Union leaders.

"This is a strong tentative agreement that does exactly what our members asked for, which is to take on subcontracting while increasing wages and pension contributions,"Hall said. "The committee stayed focused and united, and they got the job done."

UPS Local Leaders Unanimously Endorse UPS Tentative Agreement

(WASHINGTON) Leaders of Teamster Local Unions that represent UPS workers across the United States voted unanimously today to endorse the tentative UPS national agreement, paving the way for ballots to be prepared and sent to members.

General Secretary-Treasurer Ken Hall, who also serves as Package Division Director and Co-Chairman of the Teamsters National Negotiating Committee with General President Jim Hoffa, presented the changes contained in the tentative agreement to more than 300 Local Union leaders.

"Our members made clear they wanted us to protect their health care benefits and address harassment while increasing wages and retirement contributions," Hall said. "This is a strong tentative agreement that achieves all those things and more."

UPS, Teamsters Agree on New Five-Year Contracts

New Accords Cover Small Package and Freight Groups

UPS (NYSE: UPS) today announced that it has reached a tentative agreement with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (Teamsters) on two, new five-year contracts in the small package and freight business units. The tentative contracts, which must be presented to the UPS Teamster-represented employees for ratification, were concluded well in advance of the July 31, 2013, expiration of the current contracts.
